Update: Tentative deal reached between railroads and union labor

A tentative agreement has been negotiated between US railroads and labor unions that looks to avert a rail strike.  The preliminary deal will extend the cooling-off period giving unions more time to ratify the agreement while avoiding rail disruption.

Norfolk Southern had proactively stopped accepting intermodal traffic, while other rail carriers implemented plans to protect hazardous or security-sensitive cargo this week.  JB Hunt was shifting cargo to over the road as an alternative.  If you have impacted shipments this week please reach out to your operations representative.
