UK Rail Strikes for March
The UK Rail network (RMT union) has announced further national strikes after rejecting offers from train operators and network rail last week.

New Zealand Delays
Scheduled services from both North and South Islands have been impacted or delayed this year due to weather events. The South Island faced significant delays after heavy flooding caused major highway damage between Nelson and Blenheim.
Last month the North Island was hit by Cyclone Gabrielle and cleanup and service / power restoration has also impacted wineries, especially in Hawke’s Bay.
Plan for continued transport and service delays from this region.
Update on USA Port Negotiations
US West Coast port negotiations are still ongoing, but there are few details to share as the talks are not public. In a monthly press briefing, LA Port Director Gene Seroka said while a contract may not get signed in February or March, to expect some real progress this spring.
Meanwhile US East Coast port workers have begun early contract talks. The contract covering operations from ports from Maine to Texas expires in 2024.
