Shipping Alert: 7 day suspension of UP rail service to Chicago

Union Pacific will begin a 7 day suspension of rail service from US West Coast port terminals to Chicago.  This decision is intended to ease some of the port backlogs for the Chicago market and improve network fluidity.  The change will start Sunday July 18th and is expected to last about seven days.

This applies to rail terminals where UP operates at the port of Los Angeles, Long Beach, Oakland and Tacoma. View full article on Freight Waves here.
