Port of NY/NJ Delayed Opening, Hillebrand Edison Office Power outage, Port of New Orleans Update

The remnants of Hurricane Ida swept over the Northeast last night causing record localized flooding and power outages.  States of emergency were declared in New York City, New York state and New Jersey due to the storms. 

Terminals at Port of NY/NJ are reporting delayed openings: Maher Terminal, PNCT, NJMT.  Be prepared for possible delays in gate in / out operations at the port complex. 

Hillebrand’s office in Edison, New Jersey is temporarily closed due to a power outage.  There is widespread regional flooding and outages and staff are working remotely, dependent upon power restoration.  

The Port of New Orleans continues recovery efforts from Ida.  As of yesterday afternoon, the port condition was cleared for vessel movement and cargo operations to resume with restrictions. However terminal operations for both containerized and breakbulk operations remain closed until further notice, dependent upon power restoration.
