Los Angeles/Long Beach Container Dwell Fee postponed another week, Pier Pass to increase for Dec-Jan moves
LA/LB Container Dwell Fee Postponed
The Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach have postponed the new container dwell fee by another week, to November 22nd, 2021.
In a statement, Long Beach port officials noted that there has been “significant improvement in clearing import containers from our docks in recent weeks”.

Temporary adjustment for Pier Pass for December and January
The West Coast MTO Agreement (WCMTOA) announced that the traffic mitigation fee (TMF) or “Pier Pass” will be temporarily adjusted from December 1, 2021 through January 31, 2022.
The adjusted Pier Pass / TMF rate from December 1, 2021 through January 31, 2022 will be USD 78.23 per TEU (twenty foot equivalent unit) between the hours of 7AM and 5:59PM Monday through Friday.
