LA/LB Container Dwell Fee Postponed
The Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach have postponed the new container dwell fee by a second week, to November 29th, 2021.
Today’s press release pointed to a 33% reduction in aging cargo on the docks. The ports will continue to monitor the progress and will revisit the fee implementation next Monday. View the full news release from Port of Los Angeles here.
Reminder – Temporary adjustment for Pier Pass for December and January
The West Coast MTO Agreement (WCMTOA) announced that the traffic mitigation fee (TMF) or “Pier Pass” will be temporarily adjusted from December 1, 2021 through January 31, 2022.
The adjusted Pier Pass / TMF rate from December 1, 2021 through January 31, 2022 will be USD 78.23 per TEU (twenty foot equivalent unit) between the hours of 7AM and 5:59PM Monday through Friday.
