German Port Strike Imminent

Germany’s trade union Ver.di has called for a 24 hour warning strike after the disputing parties look unlikely to reach a settlement in the fourth round of collective bargaining with port employers (the Central Association of German Seaport Companies).

The trade union has announced a 24-hour warning strike to take place on June 23rd, 2022 beginning at 6AM. This would impact container and vessel operations at the ports of Hamburg and Bremerhaven.

Prepare for disruptions to scheduled operations for container pickup, loading or vessel departures this week. Please reach out to your local operations contact for assistance.
