Alert: Hurricane Ian Advisory

According to the National Hurricane Center forecast, Hurricane Ian is approximately 100 miles west of the Cayman Islands and is expected to reach Florida’s gulf coast later this week.

The US Coast Guard has set port condition Yankee for Port of Palm Beach and Port of Fort Pierce.  All other Florida ports (Miami, Port Everglades) are at port condition X-Ray. 

Under X-Ray conditions all ocean vessels greater than 500 gross tons must prepare to depart and under Yankee must immediately depart.

Port Condition Whiskey: Sustained tropical force winds predicted to arrive within 72 hours
Port Condition X-Ray: Sustained tropical force winds predicted to arrive within 48 hours
Port Condition Yankee: Sustained tropical force winds predicted to arrive within 24 hours
Port Condition Zulu: Sustained tropical force winds predicted to arrive within 12 hours
