Additional road transport fees on shipments from New Zealand’s South Island
Due to highway infrastructure damage from flooding in New Zealand’s south island, road construction is underway starting November 1, 2022 and is expected to last seven weeks.
Traffic will be rerouted via SH63 which will add to the transit time and incur additional charges due to heavily reduced capacity. Plan for delays for packing, fitting and transport from this area.
In addition to current origin trucking rates, there will be an additional charge of NZD 450 per container plus fuel (FAF 28%) and tax (GST 15%) per container effective November 1, 2022 through December 18, 2022 or until SH6 re-opens to transit. This will apply all containers, general purpose and flexitanks.
