Cross-Andes pass closed since Saturday afternoon due to winter weather

Be advised that the international tunnel between Argentina (Mendoza) and Chile closed on Saturday afternoon due to winter weather conditions and may incur delays on Argentinean shipments via Chile. Today is a national holiday for Argentina but workers on the Chilean side of the tunnel are working hard to have traffic restored as soon as possible. Note as part of winter road restrictions the tunnel will be closed nightly from 9pm to 9am.
