Cross-Andes pass closed, delay for Argentinean shipments via Chile Be advised that due to winter storms the international tunnel between Argentina (Mendoza) and Chile closed on Sunday and will delay Argentinean shipments via Chile. Also note that a stevedores strikes is affecting the southern Chilean ports of Iquique and Lirquen and carriers are omitting calls to those ports. The main ports of Valparaiso and San Antonio (for USA shipments) are not affected by the industrial action and are operating normally. We will continue provide updates on further developments.
