France - Ports Operational, Awaiting signed agreement ending the strike

Dockworkers have continued to work at both French ports while awaiting final confirmation of the end of strike activity which was expected to be signed yesterday. Some carriers are intending to resume scheduled calls as early as next week. Shippers should be cautious in routing containers through these ports as there is still a backlog to clear. Fos sur Mer in particular is experiencing heavy congestion with a seven day wait for vessels waiting off shore.
