France – Strike Update

Following yesterday's union meetings, French dockworkers will continue limited strike action as follows:

• Wednesday January 26 – no night shift (10pm to 6am)
   
• Thursday January 27 – no night shift (10pm to 6am)
   
• Ongoing one hour strike per shift

There will be no vessel or container pickup/releases at both French ports during the strike times. We alert you to individual orders affected and recommended alternatives.

Spain – General Strike may affect Bilbao port Thursday January 27, 2010

Local unions in the Bilbao region have called for a general strike for Thursday January 27, 2010. Port operations at Bilbao may be affected by blockages at the terminal gates and work stoppages.
