France - Strike scheduled for Tuesday Nov 23, 2010

A general strike has been announced for Tuesday November 23, 2010. There will be no vessel operations or container pickup/deliveries to the ports on that day. Rail traffic for freight has resumed and workers at Le Havre port are working full shifts; however workers at Fos sur Mer are maintaining strike action of 3 hours per day. Outbound shipments are still being affected by congestion and possible demurrage charges if they exceed the free time at the ports.

Portugal - Strike scheduled for Wednesday Nov 24, 2010

A general strike has been announced for Portugal for Wednesday Nov 24, 2010. There will be no vessel operations or container pickup/deliveries to the port terminals.
