MSC has announced a EBS (Equipment Imbalance Surcharge) of USD 400 per 20' container from North Europe to US East Coast Atlantic ports effective November 8, 2009 due to an overstock of 20' equipment on the East Coast.

This affects 20' containers on the North Atlantic Service rotation: Bremerhaven - Felixstowe - Antwerp - Le Havre - Boston - New York - Philadelphia - Baltimore - Norfolk
