There are possible delays when shipping from Argentina over the next two weeks due to the following reasons:
- Customs in Argentina will not operate on December 24th, 25th, 26th, 31st and January 1st and 2nd.
- It has been communicated by trucking companies that it will be difficult to get trucks for inland for weeks 52 and 1 (Dec 22nd and 23rd / Dec 29th and 30th) mostly because the truckers do not want to take shipments because they would be in Buenos Aires port for Christmas and New Year's without the possibility of return with an empty container. (They don't want to spend holiday season in Buenos Aires when their families are in Mendoza.)
- Port Terminals have reduced their time schedule for reception of containers for export, so we expect a lot of congestion.
- Documental and operational cut off set by the steamship lines are hard to accomplish considering the points mentioned above.
- Wineries in general will have only 2 working days on each of the next two weeks (Monday and Tuesday.)
- There is lack of space for vessels in week 52 and week 1 in general.
Considering this scenario, our colleagues in Argentina are making every effort to make all possible loadings, but some shipments will inevitably be delayed.
We thank you very much for your patience.
