Re:	Safmarine – U.S. Inland Fuel Surcharge

Please kindly note that a new Import / Export Intermodal Fuel Surcharge (IFS / EFS) will go into effect on September 1, 2008.  This charge is associated with intermodal fuel cost (rail and truck).

The scope and revised rate is as follows:

Scope :  All USA import and export rail and truck moves from Southern Africa

Current Rate :  USD 320 per container (any size)

New Rate :  USD 325 per container (any size)
