Work resumed today, June 19th , in both Fos/Mer and Le Havre. Only remaining strike action scheduled for this week is at Le Havre from Saturday, June 21st, 3 pm until Sunday, June 22nd , 3 pm .
The situation at Fos/Mer has seriously deteriorated due to the extended strike last week. Many feeder vessels have been delayed and there is a huge backlog. Some carriers are fully-booked until mid-July.
The port reform Bill was debated in Parliament and approved without any major amendments. It will now go to a vote on Tuesday, June 24th, and will be finally passed beginning of July. Opponents were upset that their amendments were not taken into account.
