Port Congestion Surcharge – France

Received below from CMA CGM:

Due to recent deterioration in the flow of cargo caused by the latest surge in container activity (and in conjunction with a national strike at all ports in France), CMA CGM (America) LLC will implement a Port Congestion Surcharge at all French ports, effective June 23, 2008, as follows:

EUR €100 / 20' Container (all types)
EUR €200 / 40' Container (all types)

The increase will apply on all cargo moving from United States ports to France under a CMA CGM bill of lading, and will be applied upon receipt of cargo at store door, rail ramp or port delivery if received on or after June 23, 2008.
