Notification for TACA, West Med, South Africa, Australia & Indian Ocean Service to USA  - FUEL ESCLATION SURCHARGE  (FES)

Received below from MSC:

Please be advised that due to the continued rise in Fuel Costs MSC has filed an increase effective June 20, 2008 to the Fuel Escalation Surcharge (FES) as per below for all US Inland Tariffs:

  • Effective Date : FES, June 20th, 2008
  • Tariff Number : Mesu – 037 10-A, 016 10-B, 035 10-B
  • Rule Name     : FES for all US Inland Tariffs   

All U.S. Inland rates are subject to a Fuel Surcharge as follows:

Ramp move: USD$ 220 per container (currently $135 per container)

Rail-Motor: US$ 295 per container (currently $210 per container)

All Motor:
For inland tariff rate up to US$ 400, the applicable FES will be US$ 98 per Container
(currently $80 per container)

For Inland tariff rate over US$ 401, the applicable FES will be US$ 165 per Container (currently $140 per container)
