Date: Tuesday, May 20, 2008 Re:  France Strike – Update Week 6 Le Havre Strikes this week are scheduled on: Tuesday, May 20th, 6 am until Wednesday, May 21st, 6 am Wednesday, May 21st, night shift Thursday, May 22, 6 am until Friday, May 23rd, 6 am Friday, May 23rd, night shift Maersk Lines announced resumption of all their services ex-Le Havre with the exception of their Montreal service (TA4) service. Fos/Mer Strikes will be: Tuesday, May 20th, 6 am to 6 pm Wednesday, May 21st, night shift Thursday, May 22nd, 6 am to 1 pm Maersk have announced they will reinstate their service from Fos to Asia from May 26th, but will levy a Fos congestion surcharge of EUR 250 per TEU. There will be another general strike by civil servants on Thursday, May 22nd, in protest against pension scheme reforms. This one is expected to be widely followed by all transport sectors (rail, sea and air.)
