Re:	USA Fuel Surcharge - Increase

Received the below bulletin from Hapag Lloyd:

Please be advised that effective February 1, 2008, the USA inland fuel surcharge will increase as follows:

Inland fuel surcharge will be levied at 24%

This will apply to all cargo moving inland on a Carrier Haulage basis from a USA/Canadian port to a final destination within the USA.

This will apply to all modes of transport, including, but not limited to, all road, rail and combined rail transport. Please do however note, as of 16th January, the inland fuel surcharge to USA will fall away. The fuel surcharge will now be included in the on-carriage rates and will be subject to quarterly review.
