FORCE MAJEURE – MIDWEST REGION |
Dear NASA Member:
Received below from Norfolk Southern:
Winter Storm in Midwest - Force Majeure in Effect
A severe winter storm is moving through the Midwest causing heavy accumulations of ice and snow, fallen trees and downed power lines. Customers with traffic moving through this area can expect significant delays.
Norfolk Southern personnel are working to restore service in this area. Updates will follow as conditions warrant.
Note to customers with committed service agreements: Norfolk Southern is invoking Force Majeure effective 12:01 am December 1, 2006, on traffic moving through this area.
Best regards,
North American Shippers Association (NASA)
