Re:	Panama Canal Charge Increase – TPEB Trade

Dear NASA Member:

Received the following notification from NYK Line regarding increase to the Panama Canal Surcharge:

Please note that the Panama Canal Charge will be increasing to $192 per container effective May 1, 2006.

The following charge will be assessed by the Carrier for all cargo (including contract, TVR and tariff cargo) moving on vessels via the Panama Canal:

$192.00 per container
$4.00 per CBM on M rated cargo
$10.00 per MT on W rated cargo

This charge is to be paid together with ocean freight.
