EMERGENCY BUNKER SURCHARGE (EBS) TO USA, CANADA AND MEXICO |
Dear NASA Member:
Received the following from ANZDL:
In our fax to you dated Tuesday, October 4, 2005, we advised that our intention was to apply the new EBS of US$495/TEU to shipments to North America on/after November 28, 2005. In light of the fact that bunker prices have softened appreciably in the intervening period, lines have agreed to delay the application of the new EBS at this time until January 1, 2006.
This EBS will apply to all cargo received into ANZDL control on or after January 1, 2006, to USA, Canada and Mexico, other than frozen and chilled meat.
The Australian Peak Shippers Association has been advised of this change.
