| Re: |
EMERGENCY BUNKER SURCHARGE (EBS) TO USA, CANADA AND MEXICO |
Dear NASA Member:
The Member Lines of AUSCLA, ACCLA and AMDA advise that in accordance with the EBS arrangements agreed with the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) in September, 2001, the increase in bunker fuel prices on each of five consecutive weeks through to 19 September, 2005, has exceeded the agreed trigger value of US$25/tonne.
Accordingly, the Lines will introduce an EBS of US$495/TEU effective from 28th November 2005.
This EBS will apply to all cargo received into ANZDL control on or after 28th November 2005 to USA, Canada and Mexico, other than frozen and chilled meat.
The Australian Peak Shippers Association has been advised of this change.
The Member Lines are:
Australia-New Zealand Direct Line
Hamburg Sud
Lykes Lines Limited LLC
P&O Nedlloyd Limited
Best regards,
North American Shippers Association (NASA)
