The attached memo from Hapag Lloyd is just the latest example of how complex the on-carriage piece of any transaction can be. Please note that is not meant to single out Hapag Lloyd but rather serve as indication as to what is happening in the market. We continue to encounter increased congestion at every connection, be it ports, railheads or container yards. By their own admission it will become increasingly difficult for the lines to adequately perform on a carrier haulage basis.

It is in this light that we would like to remind all of our customers that there is an alternative.
