Date: Monday, September 27, 2004 Re:  Truckers' Strike in Italy Dear NASA Member: Please be advised that the truckers' strike that was rumored in Italy last week came to fruition today and has effectively stopped all container movements. All rail terminals and ports are being picketed and the strike has been announced to last for the full week. There is speculation, however, that they will begin negotiations on Wednesday and could be back to work before the end of the week. We will continue to keep you updated as the situation changes.
