Re:	LOS ANGLES / LONG BEACH DELAYS

Dear NASA Member:

There has been an extremely strong increase in imports to the West Coast. This increase plus the ongoing problem of labor shortage has caused congestion resulting in delays of deliveries and operations and accumulations of containers at the Los Angles / Long Beach ports.

Export containers are being asked to arrive at the Los Angles/Long Beach ramps no earlier than 7 days before estimated time of departure and local containers to arrive no earlier that 2 working days before cutoff to help minimize dwell time.
