Real Status Information

NASA's partner, J.F. Hillebrand, contacts suppliers and follows up on the ready date long before the order is loaded into a container. Ready dates, pick-up dates, warehousing dates, loading dates, sailing dates and arrival dates are all considered priority status information.

Purchase Orders can be traced through the entire shipping process. Whether importers, distributors or brokers come into play, we communicate with each through their specific PO number.

Cellartainer

Together with J.F. Hillebrand, who designed and developed Cellartainer, NASA is able to provide clients with an intermediate solution for the insulation of dry containers: Cellartainer. This thermal insulation padding for dry containers protects wines, champagne and other beverages from high or low temperatures, and it protects against thermal shocks.

The Cellartainer insulation kit is a 3/4” piece of styrofoam or corrugated cardboard with an aluminum foil barrier covering both sides. It is affixed to the walls and ceiling in rectangular sections and secured with double-faced adhesive tape. The floor is covered with a very thin piece of Styrofoam or cardboard, which still allows for palette loading. The aluminum reflects the energy, while the Styrofoam or cardboard, thanks to the air it contains, insulates against cold and heat. Cellartainer’s “one-way,” agent-installed equipment is available for 20’ and 40’ dry containers.

Stainless Steel Tanks

Flexitanks

The flexitank is a plastic bag of between 5,000 and 23,000 liters. The material used, PVC or Nitrile, is approved and registered as compatible for the transport of beverages by the Food and Drug Administration.
Before being presented to the trade (accompanied by a cleanliness certificate,) it must be installed by specialized staff on the inside corners of the container. Technical assistance is provided for the first fillings. Easier and more economical to supply than traditional container tanks, the flexitank offers distinct advantages in global logistics costs.
