DIRECT
SERVICE TO EUROPE FROM LOS ANGELES
The Grand Alliance carriers will add several direct
ports to their Pacific-Atlantic Express ("PAX") service in June.
The Grand Alliance carriers are Hapag-Lloyd, Nippon Yusen Kaisha, Orient
Overseas Container Line and P&O Nedloyd. The extended rotation will
create a direct service to Europe from Los Angeles, add an Eastbound Pacific
service from Yokohama to North America, and also add a westbound transatlantic
service between Le Havre and North America.
The revised rotation of the PAX service will be Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Kobe,
Nagoya, Yokohama, Seattle, Oakland, Los Angeles, Balboa, Cristobal/Manzanillo,
Savannah, Norfolk, New York, Halifax, Antwerp, Thamesport, Bremerhaven,
Rotterdam, Le Havre, Halifax, New York, Norfolk, Savannah, Cristobal/Manzanilo,
Balboa, Los Angeles, Oakland, Yokohama, Kobe and Kaohsiung.
